Testing the WordPress plugin for ChatGPT

This is a test post created through the WordPress.com plugin for ChatGPT. The aim is to try a workflow in which I develop a post in conversation, then have it sent directly to Oddrops.

The process starts with connecting WordPress.com to ChatGPT and granting the relevant permissions. ChatGPT can then identify the sites available through that connection. In this case, it found Oddrops at oddrops.blog.

I asked ChatGPT to create a test post describing the process. It prepared the text and submitted it to WordPress as a draft, using WordPress blocks so that the content can be edited in the usual editor.

The next step is to preview the draft and check its wording and appearance. I can request revisions in ChatGPT or make changes directly in WordPress. Once I am satisfied, I can instruct ChatGPT to publish it or schedule it for a later date.

The attraction is straightforward: drafting, discussion and revision can happen in one conversation, with no need to copy and paste the finished text into WordPress. The judgement about what to say—and whether it is ready to publish—remains mine.

This post was drafted by ChatGPT at my request as a practical test of the connection.
